What convention events are included in the registration fee?

The registration fee includes access to all speaker sessions and breakouts, the vendor expo including the Taste Kitchen and Smooth Operator, the Smoothie Contest, convention meals and evening events including the Welcome Reception on Monday night, the Tuesday evening event at Knibbe Ranch and the Awards Dinner on Wednesday night. 

 

What convention events are included in the guest fee?

The guest fee includes access to convention meals and evening events including the Welcome Reception on Monday night, the Tuesday evening event and Awards Dinner on Wednesday night. To attend any other events or sessions, you must register as a full convention attendee.

 

Is the hotel cost included in the convention registration fee?

The 2026 Tropical Smoothie Cafe Convention will be held at the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort and Spa in San Antonio, TX. Hotel reservations are not included in the convention registration fee.

A special room rate of $299 plus daily resort fee and applicable taxes is available for convention attendees. Reservations must be made by Wednesday, January 21, to be guaranteed this special rate. Please make sure to reserve your room as soon as you register.

 

Can I extend my hotel reservation after Trop Fest at the convention rate?

If you would like to stay additional nights, the special convention room rate applies 3 days prior and 3 days following the event days, based on hotel availability. If you would like to extend your reservation, please contact the JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort directly.

 

What is the dress code for the convention?

Please reference the following guidelines regarding dress code.

  • Monday Welcome Reception: Resort Casual – Relaxed and comfortable. Think flowy dresses, button-ups and stylish sandals.
  • Convention Sessions: Business Casual – Comfortable yet professional. Something that is perfect for long sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities.
  • Tuesday Evening Event at Knibbe Ranch: Casual – Comfortable. Jeans, a fun top, and cowboy boots, sneakers or flats.
  • Wednesday Evening Awards Dinner: Cocktail attire

 

I am bringing my children/grandchildren with me. Can they attend convention functions?

Children 10 and under are free to attend convention functions (meals and evening events only). Any child over the age of 11 should register as a guest and can only attend meals and evening events.

 

If my plans change, what is the cancellation policy?

All cancellation requests must be made by sending an email to TSCReg@Etherio.com.

If you register but are unable to attend, you may designate another attendee within your organization to take your place at no additional charge. All substitution requests must be submitted by the original attendee via email to TSCReg@Etherio.com. On-site substitutions may be made only if the substituting attendee provides a written request from the original attendee.
